My time as Mrs. Maryland America 2005 and America's Fit Mrs. 2006 has been incredible, but I felt I needed to continue on my path toward promoting health and wellness. The Mrs. United States pageant offered me the opportunity to continue to reach out to new people. I was extremely honored to represent the state of Delaware in 2007 and continue to do all that I can to make a difference in your life.

Becoming involved in pageantry at the age of 40 has been an opportunity to get out in the community and raise awareness on an issue that is important to me and that is learning how to be healthier. There are so many more people suffering with chronic diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and asthma just to name just a few. I knew there had to be a reason for the increase and a way to prevent much of it from happening. By being proactive about what you eat, drink and breathe, it is possible to achieve optimal health. But people need to be educated and know that there is more to it than just “eat right and exercise.” That is what I do, I share specifics on the major causes of chronic disease and what simple lifestyle changes we can all make that will make a difference in our health. Our bodies weren’t meant to deal with the daily exposures to so many toxins. These toxins come from our food, the water we drink, the air we breathe, the medications we take and from STRESS.
